In 2007 SPM, only 25 students from the school scored straight A.
“I am very happy with the results because it is the best ever in the history of the school,” said the principal, Putit Haji Ped, yesterday.
Sze Jing Ting, 18, who scored 11A1s and an A2, said she was very satisfied with her results.
“I was not quite confident in the Chinese Language but somehow I managed to achieve A1 for it,” she said.
When asked on how she managed to do well in the exam, Jing Ting revealed that she spent between three and four hours daily on study and revision.
She added that paying attention in the class and not afraid to ask teachers questions were very important.
She attributed her success to her teachers and encouragement from her parents and friends.
The second among three siblings, Jing Ting hoped to secure a JPA scholarship to pursue further studies in medicine.
Her eldest sister is also pursuing her further studies in medicine at the International Medical University in Kuala Lumpur.
Meanwhile, Goh Han Lin, who scored 11A1s, said he was a bit surprised but happy with his results.
His ingredients for success were hard work and two to three hours of study and revision.
Like Jing Ting, Han Lin attributed his success to encouragement from teachers, parents and friends.
He planned to take up an engineering course at Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus.
