I'm Still here.......

Hi everyone i am still here and alive in miri. So far the food here are damn expensive. Can't blog much right now as i am super tired everyday. I am now the group leader for my group called 58 shoes. SO tired. I have to write tonless scripts, group cheer, round the people up and etc.... But i am happy that they stick together. Imagine this, from 29 people in our groups shrink to 9 people. That's really terrible.

Anyway, as i am really tired these few days i think i can only blog properly this Sunday. Will ad more photos too.

BTW, the photocopy is10 cents a page and printing in the ICT lab is 50 cent a piece. What a rip off. So gonna buy a new printer. Shall never use Curtin's one except the photocopier machine.

Miri

Hi everybody i am in Miri. Currently staying in Pacific Orient Hotel before i officially move into my real hostel room. My hostel is practically a house surrounde by nature's beauty. And by nature's beauty i mean tall lalang grass, the humming noise mosquitoes, large croaking frogs, marching ants, fluttery fireflies, and huge black beetles the size of three fingers[shivers, i hate beetles or bugs].

Bought two trolley of electrical and perishable goods to my hostel. Prices of the stuff here as usual are more expensive by tens of ringgits. Food here are more expensive as well. So tired yesterday hunting for goods and my legs of giving out on me. Quite disappointed with the hostel though. No mosquito netting, no stove yet [they are changing], no drawer lock. And the fridge is so SMALL. How can you place SIX PEOPLE'S food in a fridge the height of a primary 3 student. Cacat ler. The only sign of civilisation at my place [far from town] is Dua Puluh Sen store. i can hear people fainting right now. Haha

Anyway, just have to be patient for 4 weeks and i will definitely come back to Kuching.Sabar anders sabar~

Utilizing the internet [deconnexion] as much as possible before i head to the doom-internet house. I heard only the first 4 house in our whole compound can use the deconnexion. When they use the wi-fi, the rest of us cannot. Because the wi-fi isn't strong enough. Looking into streamyx when all the tenants officially move in.

By the way, my housemate is Jonathan Lee . Daniel, i am sure you remember him. Haha.

Last Day in Kuching

Yeah the title says it all. For now going to spend more time packing and fellowshipping with my family. This maybe the last post as i am not very sure about how good Curtin's wifi is and whether they allowed us to visit blogs. Sigh. [emo mode]

Now to have a good round of some Kuching's Delicacies

So tata again for now. I shall miss my piano. Sob~ . Samuel you're so lucky you can pindah your piano. Haha.

I shall also miss my family and Kuching Food. Its strange how you can be so hype up going overseas and then suddenly feel reluctant. I guess the saying's right that you won't miss it till you lose it. Sigh~

Dinner With my Family

Last Sunday, my mom treated our whole family to a buffet at Ristorante Beccari. One of the best Italian Restaurants. Its my reward for the SPM result and also as a farewell dinner. They say, pictures speaks a thousand words. So i'll let the pictures to do the talking.

Whenever you go for italian cuisine, remember that small quantity is the best policy as each food is quite rich.

Might be the last nice dinner with my family.

This afternoon went to watch the movie "the dark knight" with Ivan and Colin. Very psychotic and heartless movie. I suggest not bringing children as its mainly for mature audience.

Anyway i would be leaving for Miri early morning this Saturday. If you wanna see me off, message me and i will tell you the details. The emo-ness is not very strong right now but i try to look forward to the holidays.

Angels Visitation

Received this in an email today. It so happens there are angel visitations in a christian meeting in Surabaya, Indonesia which is the hotspot for christians there. Praise God! None of the photos are digitally enhanced or disturbed.

Angels appear in Indonesian Church

A fellow in Indonesia named Jimmy sent me the below photo with this explanation:

'I herewith send you a picture of seven Angels appeared at an
International Church Growth Seminar, July 1 - 4, 2002, in Surabaya ,
Indonesia . The Angels were dancing in front of the stage during
praise and worship session; Nobody knew until the film was processed
and printed. I was sent this picture by a friend & there is no camera
trick !!! I think that I need to send you this picture to be shared
with others ... what a tremendous joy !!! God bless & Maranatha.'

Since I do not really know Jimmy, and even though I had no reason to
doubt, I preferred some confirmation of such an astonishing
phenomenon, so I inquired of a missionary/evangelist friend, Darrel
Stott, who spends a lot of time in Indonesia and knows many people
there. Darrell replied that he frequently ministers in that particular
church, and said:

'It would be credible from my opinion. The biggest change in my last
two trips was angelic activity in the meetings and increase in
physical healings. In various meeting, groups of young adults came to
the front and pointed and talked to the angels as I ministered. They
spoke in a language that sounded like tongues to the angels but they
also could understand each other in this tongue as they spoke to the
angels.'

The photograhper who took these shots was not aware that he had
captured angels until he developed the photos. These were captured
some six or seven years ago when digital photos were no common yet.
(The church group had just completed building an orang asli church and
was holding a prayer meeting at the church which was not yet painted
and had no furniture).

Pot Bless with Embacy

Last Sunday , the youths from my church [Embacy] organized a pot bless to celebrate my "departure" and to celebrate Hannah's Birthday. I went there after church with the Gee Sisters. Along the way, Gordon offered us a ride when we were walking to Uncle's House.

Had a fun time talking to everybody and receive a lot of well wishes. Going to miss the bunch of them. Been in Embacy for 6 years, and i enjoy every minute of it being in God's presence and serving in the music ministry. Now, there will be another Embacy band in Miri, as some of the youths are pursuing their studies there too. I had no idea they would even organize a pot bless for me . I thought i will just leave quietly. Haha. Thank you very much guys and gals. I will miss you all. [emo mode again XD]. The birthday girl which is Daniel's sister, received a cake and a lollipop. Haha. It reminds us all about the lollipop girl in Kung Fu hustle. Anyway, here are some candid shots.

Church has really grown. Give it another year or two i won't be surprised that our Saturday Night Service would be this big too. So far we have more than 1000+ people counting in all the different congregation. For a small place like this, its amazing.
