Dance, Movies, Music~

Word Power: Rapt
Totally absorbed, carried away by intense joy or love; as, a rapt look.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well as most of you know, last friday was my first Ballroom Dancing Lesson. It was better than I has expected. For one thing, i could be partners with my sister, Lavender as there are no other girls, wahahahaha! Most of them already have a partner or gf/bf . My two teachers were quite impressed with the speed that we dance to the song. I admit it was a faster cha cha beat but we had experienced thanks to line dancing. I've finished 15 out of 20 of the bronze cha cha syllabus. THAT's fast. The fastest couple to learn bronze cha cha syllabus completely was in a month i heard. As usual, i heard the teachers singing praises of my sister because not many children are into dancing , that can remember and execute the steps excellently. I have high hopes for her. Sure she will become quite famous in dancing. I also kena puji lah but i don't want to type what did they puji me of if not some monkey willl start to chatter. Hehe. By the way, the male teacher, Mr.James is 80 years old and he still can manage to carry the female teacher, Mrs. Lucila or Lucia (can't remember)who is 50 years old with one hand. He's strong! Can't wait for this Friday.
On Sunday, went for line dancing and practiced the chinese ribbon dance movements. Mr arms ACHE! Its tiring.
Monday, which was yesterday , i went out with Daniel, Caleb, and Frederick. Initially we wanted monkey kho to go along, but he has no transport. Kesiannya........ Anyway, we went to eat at macdonals. Had the properity meal and a cornetto mcflurry (daniel chia! thanks a lot). We felt prosperous after having a full stomach. Haha.
After that we head down to Star Cineplex to watch,
Yes we watch CLOVERFIELD. I don't recommend it for the faint hearted because it is a thriller. I LOVE the concept but i did find some parts of the show gruesome. If you can't stand seeing gashes of blood, blood from the eyes, and stomach bursting i suggest not to watch it. Oh yah, i've forgotten to ever gruesome monster . I HATE the goth and gory BUT i like the concept. Its kind of interesting to view it from a human's perspective unlike all the superman shows whereby ur not involve and u get to see the whole picture. The movie has no plot. Basically they're running her and there and Screaming for "Beth!Beth!Beth!Beth!Beth!Beth!Beth!Beth!Beth!Beth!Beth!Beth!Beth!Beth!Beth!Beth!Beth!Beth!Beth!Beth!Beth!Beth!Beth!"
I felt so bored at one point and i began shouting like them until i irritated Caleb beside me. There is some comedy points in the show though. But i didn't like the ending . I wanted to know what happened to the monster. The ending was like "i love you! and " i love you too" and they get killed with the camera in their hands. No one i mean from the 5 of them survived. All died. So boring. Basically its like youtube, the whole scenes are recorded from a noob perspective handling the camera. The noob in the show is Hudson who also get killed in the end. So duh....
I like and hate it the same time. Weird huh~
Anyway i found a nice acapella group calles the "The real group" from sweden. Quite interesting. Watch it.
Another nice music i found is a very touching Country Music entitles "Three wooden crosses". I feel like crying when i heard this one. You never know as christians that a small thing we do can affect a lot of people in the future. So i encourage you to always do good deeds!
A farmer and a teacher, a hooker and a preacher,
Ridin' on a midnight bus bound for Mexico.
One's headed for vacation, one for higher education,
An' two of them were searchin' for lost souls.
That driver never ever saw the stop sign.
An' eighteen wheelers can't stop on a dime.
There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway,
Why there's not four of them, Heaven only knows.
I guess it's not what you take when you leave this world behind you,
It's what you leave behind you when you go.
That farmer left a harvest, a home and eighty acres,
The faith an' love for growin' things in his young son's heart.
An' that teacher left her wisdom in the minds of lots of children:
Did her best to give 'em all a better start.
An' that preacher whispered: "Can't you see the Promised Land?"
As he laid his blood-stained bible in that hooker's hand.
There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway,
Why there's not four of them, Heaven only knows.
I guess it's not what you take when you leave this world behind you,
It's what you leave behind you when you go.
That's the story that our preacher told last Sunday.
As he held that blood-stained bible up,
For all of us to see.
He said: "Bless the farmer, and the teacher, an' the preacher;
"Who gave this Bible to my mamma,
"Who read it to me."
There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway,
Why there's not four of them, now I guess we know.
It's not what you take when you leave this world behind you,
It's what you leave behind you when you go.
There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway.
Enjoy your week people!

Recap Of the Week:
Sunday
As usual, i went to church and afterwards in the afternoon i went for my line dancing. Nothing much to talk about here except the fact that my father miss his flight back home from Bintulu. He was held up in a meeting there and apparently Bintulu Airport is very strict with checking-in. Remember when you're in Bintulu, DO NOT check-in less than 45 minutes from boarding (lecehnya) . In Kuching International Airport, people check-in 15 minutes before boarding also got. Shows how Bintulu Airport is to narrow-minded.
Monday
This was the day Ivan Tan and I attended Terence's father funeral. Once again, condolence to you and your family and may the peace of the Holy Spirit be upon you. That day, it was also the first time i attended a full-fledged Buddhist funeral. It was an eye-opener. Anyway, its was a time to be solemn and staid. It was hard not to smile and laugh for so many hours when you're around wacky people. Thank God ! Anyway, i SURVIVED in Florence's car . She's the one the chauffeured us to the destination. Don't worry, no broken bones and no heart attack. She's not that fast. I have been in car whereby the driver is from KL and i "tumpang" that car for 3 years okay. At least 80 km/h to 100 km/h
Tuesday
Eat , sleep, eat , television, eat , computer, eat , work, eat, shopping , eat, cook , eat
Wednesday
My Father's great day! Happy Birthday again! That day was also the day i redesign the pamphlet. It looks so attractive and nice now. I'm loving photoshop! Went to siang-siang food court in Tabuan Jaya in the morning for celebration . The "aunties" from EBC who are operating their business there bought a gift and tiramisu(fake) cake for my dad and mee sua with eggs. Eating spree!
Thursday
My sister's great day ! Haha! Two days in a row. Happy Birthday Lavender! Celebrated a supper birthday at Jalan Song food court. Eat again! haha!
Friday
Gonna be my FIRST ballroom dancing lesson . So excited, nervous, scared, and happy at the same time. Couldn't sleep so i typed this post to pass the time. I'm praying that my sister and I can remain partners for the Latin for the meantime. I don't think i want another dance partner yet because i'm used to my sister and besides, a new partner means commitment to her and you must be there all the time(if not how can she dance alone?). I heard the teacher is strict and pushes talented students so that they can achieve perfection. That characteristic of that teacher is the one i'm afraid of. A guy cried because the teacher kept pushing him to achieve perfection (she wasn't pushing physically . what i mean is adding pressure+scolding). BUT she doesn't do that with little children like my sister. I'm just thinking, JUST thinking, if both of us are partners, maybe the teacher will cool off a little on me. Hehehehehehe....... Well , not to brag, its the price we talented people have to pay. Haha. Joking joking...... Really looking forward to learning ballroom dancing and perhaps shed a few pounds before CNY 2008.
Haha! What's in store for the future i wonder.........
More exciting days to come!

Mah Profiteroles
This time i decided to make profiteroles. Profiteroles or cream puffs is one of my favourite pastries of all time. The recipe is quite simple too.
150 g flour
12ml of sugar (1 tbsp)
1ml salt (1/4 tsp)
60g butter
250ml water
4 eggs
1 beaten egg
Firstly heat the sugar, salt, butter and water in a heavy-bottomed pan under medium flame. When it starts boiling, leave the mixture to heat for 2 minutes. After that, add in the flour and lower the flame of the stove. Stir and cook it until the dough doesn't stick to your spatula or when you pinch it. Next, remove the dough and place it in a mixing bowl to cool for 3 minutes. Then add the 4 eggs one by one to the dough. Make sure the mixture is completely smooth before you add the next egg. After that, transfer the dough into the piping bag and pipe the dough onto a grease pan. You may do any shapes you like but remember to leave some space between each piped dough as it will rise and expand. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius and then bake the dough for 35 minutes. Finally, when it is done leave the oven door ajar and wait for another 45 minutes. This is to prevent the profiteroles from collapsing due to the hot air escaping quickly . It will also become soggy.
To be truthful, mine did collapse a little so it is not that big. BUT it still taste great and my home smells delicious because of it. Ahhhhhhhh............ The fragrance of butter, fresh, crisp puffs.... I'm getting hungry as i type this. So here is a picture of it.
Imagine it 1.5 bigger....... But it still looks tempting to it.
Now to find some pastry cream.....hmmmmmm.....
Cheesey cheeselicous~
So feast your eyes on this pictures. 4 Layers leh......
Anyone Drooling?
If you want the recipe, don't bother because i take different recipes and modify them. Hehe

Ribbon on the Highway
Anyway, i almost done with the pamphlet ; just adding finishing touches to it. And yeah i'm not joining the slurpee thingy anymore so i'm down with the last two assignments; the newsletter which i have to complete before February and the video which i have about two months to complete it. So what have i done this week? Basically nothing.... Just continuing with my line dance class and church meetings. But soon my boredom will be swept away. If posssible, my ballroom class will start this week. I'm going with my sister! YAY! But i fear that the instructor won't let me partner her because she's shorter than my shoulder. Most female partners exceed the male's shoulder height. Sigh~
3 week Chinese New Year will be coming, and my mom and I haven't even plan for the things to buy and bake ( Yes Kelvin and Loung Huey i got the cheese already , you can start drooling). Speaking of Chinese New Year , a few of us would be performing the Chinese Ribbon Dance in church . Yes you heard me right! C-H-I-N-E-S-E R-I-B-B-O-N D-A-N-C-E. I know that most girl dance it but i doesn't have to be feminine unless you start doing the graceful hand movement and sliding your legs. We're doing kung-fu style .Hehe. Anyway, spinning the ribbon is hard work. It's not easy to twirl the ribbon of about 12 feet for 5 minutes. My arms are sore and i actually develop muscles. YES, Muscles. Most people thing that it is easy but it is not at all. The angle and speed +jumping here and there it really hurts and drain your energy.
You must be asking why i am learning it?
Because is love to dance and want to learn all the dances i can know of.
This post is pretty lo-so . Yeah i'm bored. So now, back to photoshopping.
Tata......

BuSy, BuSy, BuSiNeSs...........
Currently my projects are:
1. Design a pamphlet/flyers for an upcoming June event in my church
2 A promotional video
3. And church newsletter.
4. Slurpee Cup-Design competition?
About the slurpee thing, i'm not very sure whether i'll be entering it but i really do want the Ipod Shuffle. The only drawback is that u have to draw and colour on the form and scan it. But the thing is that want to use photoshop and those neon colours for my design which is impossible. Oh well i might have to think of another design then or maybe not- busy enough already. Hey Loung Huey, maybe this is a great way to promote your tigera? Winner's cup will be used for a limited edition 2008 slurpee cup leh+ ipod shuffle (which i doubt you'll be interested). Go check out pepsi malaysia to those peeps who wanna join.
This month i probably gonna continue my dance class and maybe driving. The list of work and things to do are adding up like a mountain. I'm not exaggerating. I'm also my sisters "tuition teacher" since she never go for tuition class.
Anyway, this blog layout it just temporary and i'll be editing the template soon when i have find time. I just need help with photoshop. Anyone please help me!!!!!!
The problem is : I cannot see my text when i use the type tool in photoshop. BUT the new layer formed has and confirms that the text is on the picture. WHY???? I can't see anything at all. Its invisible. Kapish!
Meanwhile, just enjoy my abstinence from blogging while i get back to my work......
sigh~

Water,Balloons,Food,Friends=Fun+Mess
Yesterday was the most fun party i ever went to. Actually the party was planned many week before. It was suppose to be Kathryn's Belated Birthday Party but in the end they also decided to fit Kimberley into the surprise too. It was indeed a surprise for Kimberley as she was one of the organisers doing it.Anyway here's the party line up in chronoligical order.
I car pooled with Crystal as i didn't know Florence's house address. Oh yah b4 that, i was making sherperd's pie(our family's trademark) for the party(pot bless style). Crystal made mashed potato. I think she was jealous or what. Haha coz i'm better than her in cooking.*snickers* So when ppl ask her what she brings she'll keep on promoting her mashed potato.
*mimicking*
Crystal: Oh i brought mashed potato. It got ham, eggs, mayonaise..... ham, eggs and mayonaise...ham,eggs, and mayonaise.....and oh yah! Mashed potato.
haha............
So we arrived at Florence house a about 6.00pm ++ Ahma was already there helping ther others. Kimberley and Karen were already helping decorating the place with balloons and paper. Ahma was wanting to BBQ her chicken pieces. So as a *cough cough* che che(sister) she asked me to help her cook lor. You must be wondering why they call me chec he(sister) . It is because i can cook, sew, and dance.sigh...Well the fire was too big so the chicken was practically almost burnt. That Ahma also so slowly berjalan ambil pinggan. Lenggang here and there. In the end the chicken also kena bakar. After that Ahma don't want to eat liao. Wasting my effort nia. Btw, the chicken was tasty leh , so juicy. Florence bought a paintbrush to spread the honey on the chicken. Ewwwwwwwwww......so low tech leh. I was practically spending my time cooking the chicken wings while Kimberley was fanning the charcoals ( a little too efficient) . Crystal spoilt amost a whole batch of honeyed hot dogs. Tsk tsk....
Thanks to Florence, i was introduced to so many ppl as Anders che che. Is it so hard to add another "ng" to the back. Oh cannot also hor, if not ppl think i'm dead. Anyway, Edmond took over Crystal place in BBQ-ing the hot dogs. Much much better job. Edmond keep on saying to me gay-ishly to pass the honey. He'll say Honey, pass me the honey. Give me the shivers only. Haha. I think we only start eating at 7pm++. A lot of the AJK prefects were there too. I especially love the drinks coz it is so nice. I love the chicken wings too.Haha.......

Me BBQ-ing
So i ate dinner in the sitting room watching "Snakes ON Plane". Crystal,Kathryn, and somebody(i forgotten) keep on screaming for no reason. So geram....cannot eat in peace. Florence was making everybody laugh with her contagious laughter.
Florence quickly went behind to surprise the two b'day girls , Kathryn and Kimberley. Here are some Pics:

The bakers Spelt her name wrongly......

The two b'day girls.....

Us eating...........
So after being fed to the brim of my stomache. I went out to continue BBQ-ing the chicken wings. Suddenly scream could be heard. It was Florence smearing the icing from the cake on Kathryn and the others. Good thing i didn't get it. After some time, the real war happened. Someone started throwing water balloons which Florence had prepared earlier on. My goodness almost everyone was wet except those at the BBQ set and in the sitting room. Ahma terkena and she got so mad. She used the Aircon water (which was collecter in the bucket) and threw it towards Kathryn and Kimberley i think. Boy, they used water hoses, pails and all kinds to wet each other.
I felt relieved coz i was at the BBQ set still BBQ-ing the chickens. then this Florence shouted:
ANDERS CHE CHE STILL HAVEN'T GOT WET
Walau eh! I was so scared. For a moment i knew none was going to attacked me. But suddenly got shadow behind me. I turned around it was Jackie:

He was holding a water balloon. I said No! I don't want to get wet. He said nvm lah since it is only once in a year. As a smart science student, i quickly took his balloon and threw it outside so i can run into the sitting room. But too bad, they had reinforcements. Kimberley and Kathryn u're so gonna pay(including Ahma). Arggggggggggh! i was wet. I went out for revenge. Using only one ONLY ONE balloon i sprayed everybody with water. I didn't tie my balloon up. I filled it and then i squeeze the ballloon to realase a spray of water. After minutes or war and fun, the ppl in the living room didn't get free. They were dragged out from the room and we spray them too.HAhaha.....
Group photo: My eyes were full of water.......

well i think i went back around ten thirty. Boy, what a fun party......

That's RIGHT it is BALLROOM DANCING!!!!!
Yeah, you heard me right. I'm going for ballroom lessons every tuesday and thursday night. So fun leh. Yesterday we had our first ballroom lesson.Though the steps are simple it is the style, footing, techinque and posture that makes the difference in the dancing. I'm gonna be the best in the ballroom dancing liao (hehe). I really like it i donno why. For you perverts out there it is not the *touching touching* that i like okay!!! It's hard you know to create a chemistry between a couple even they do not know each other well. That's the challenge. To dance with someone just like that and create a blast. Anyway, my partner is my sister, so no worries.Hehe
I purposely brought her coz u know lah....Don't want to that one that one..
Yesterday we just learn the basic for whole two hours.Though is kind of boring(only one step mar) it is Really a good practice. But the thing is i'm so used to line dancing so the technique is a little bit off. But no worries i can adapt quickly..Oh yah hor! i forgot to tell you what dance i learnt. Well ballroom is divided into two categories:
a)Ballroom(so ironic)
b)Latin
We are learning the Latin section coz it is more energetic and challenging which i love of course. And under Latin there is subdivisions again. So the first dance we learnt is the ChaCha or Cha-Cha.I have to practice for tomorrow again....
ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIBAAAAAAAAA!
anyone who wants to learn ballroom can contact me......
it's free of charge...........

Children's Camp
Anyway back to the camp. This year there was no sleepover :( .Sigh~ i miss those fun time as child. Well i must say this batch of children was the most behave. My duty this time was to be in charge of photography and doing the slides. I LOVE my job. I don't know why i love to mess around with computers. Maybe this is a sign from God???? Who knows......
Today it started out with some devotion lead by the teacher. I wasn't helping during that time because i was doing the slides and choosing the songs.(*snickers* I CAN BE YOUR FRIEND!la la la la la~). After that it was tea break. Yummy ~ i love the sandwiches......... Succulent tender scrambled eggs, with drips of slurpy mayonaise, ever smooth butter and grated to "perfecto" carrots.....(my saliva is running down now). Then they had a time of praise and worship which was fun with all the action songs. The children loved it a lot.
No camp would be complete without the sharing of God's word. Today was their last lesson and it was on thoughtfulness. Surprisingly, all the songs i chose was in the message of aunty Emily(speaker). She taught some interesting facts about penguins. The mother penguin has to quickly but carefully pass the egg to the father
After that did u know where we went for lunch???
HARTZ CHICKEN(satok branch)
Delicous leh.............hehe
You all must be jealous. I strongly recommend this branch because the food are much nicer and better compared to the one in S'wak Plaza. Here are some photos we took over there.

Daniel and Doron murdering a watermelon skin

Daniel being "thoughtful" mother towards Wilson.

Charissa murdering Daniel because he murdered her watermelon

Having tummy aches after all the meals.....haha
Well after the scrumptous meal, we went back to church. We did face painting..........0o0o0oh i just love painting. haha~ i did my sister's face and crystal was so jealous(haha).........I also did TJ's face. He wanted to be a lion but then there wasn't any orange so we had to make him look like a tiger instead. My sis was a butterfly. After that i showed my video, i say it was really funny. GOOD JOB Daniel >You were so funny. I shall upload the video by tomorrow hopefully so that my viewers can see......haha
And we sang the theme song and the "thankfulness song".........Speaking of thankfulness did anyone(in the camp) realise that ur shirts were short of one "s" on the word "thankfulness". HAHA .....you ppl should sue the company leh.......
We take somemore photos and we had to go liao. Kinda miss it too.......well always a next time.
BY the way, youth was awesome last night. During the ending, ppl were just set free and i personally ask God that i wanted to meet him. I wasn't seeking for any manifestation. I was seeking to meet God himself. I tell you. I felt him, i heard him, i was IN him. I just felt the wave so strong. I was going though some puzzlements and i had planned to solved them myself. BUT God told me not to. HE asked me to rely on him and he will do the rest. He asked me to rest. My goodness, the burden was lifted up in that instance. And indeed i can testify that the puzzlements was solved today in church. Thank God!!!!!
I also had a strange dream last night too(after youth), i dreamt that i had a brain surgery. I remembered i was diagnosed with brain tumour. I was depressed, emotional and etc. I entered a stadium full of people. It was a christian meeting. On the stage was a christian brain surgeon and i remembered he was preaching when he suddenly called out my name. He wanted to operate on me. My dad was nearby though. He put this platic cap on me and he began to cut my skull using scissors. I can actually feel the scissors cutting but it wasn't painful at all. He pluck out the tumour and then sew back my head or skull. He told my dad after it was healed. He would pull out the thread. He says that it was going to be a painful process taking out the thread. Kind of gross.
But then i began to ponder about it since it was so real the dream:
1. I felt so free after the dream.
2. It sticks to my mind
So i thought it must be God trying to say something. I learnt three things:
1.It is God renewing my mind.
2. It is God removing my past things i have hidden in my heart(brain).
3. God is teaching about hurts which i have experience recently. You see, God begans healing you is an easy process for him. It might be a painful/or even not in my case when he "operates" on you. But once you're completely healed, he would have to remove the "thread" which was used to sewed up "those broken parts of your heart". It would be a painful process indeed. You might asked God WHY? WHY bring up those hurts again? WHY are u reminding me again about those hurts? Don't you know it is painful?" Well i just want to say, God does that to ensure you have a complete healing. Don't tell me u see a healed person with thread still sewn on on their bodies. Of course the doctor has to remove those thread. Though it is painful it is for a good cause.Hope it will encourage you........

Dedication to Grandmas.............
*warning very long post*
A GRANMOTHER'S LOVE
A Grandmother's love is like no other.
It is even greater than a mother's
because a grandmother has the greater suffer.
And she will always be the one who is tougher.
A grandmother's love is like no other's.
It's even greater when you have no sister's or brother's.
She helps you when your feelings are a twister.
And she will calm you soon when there are mister's.
A grandmother's love can never be broken.
And she is a woman who can never be out spoken.
You will have all these gifts that where tokens of her love.
Her love is a choice it's not just because your there.
You know that she would never hurt you, not a single hair.
Everytime she's around you she tries her hardest to never swear.
*sob, what a touching poem*
Yah, i was very busy this week so i couldn't blog about anything. For those who didn't know, my grandmother(paternal) passsed away on the fateful day, 13th August 2006. To me, my grandmother is closer to me to my other grandma(maternal) although i visit the one on my maternal side more. When i was young, i remembered that i was really cared over by her. She would cook lunch and embraced me when i returned after my kindergarten schooling. She also loves to make me drink honey ( maybe that's the reason.ehehhehe). When i sleep, she would caress my head gently while rubbing my hair. I really miss those loving touches from her. Somehow, she also loves to rub her hand on my arms too. Little did I know my grandmother was gonna pass away so soon.
On that fateful night, i was at home getting ready to sleep when suddenly my parents told me that my grandma passed away. Earlier that morning i knew she had a coma but i thought comas usually take a long time to recover so i need not to worry about visiting her. But i was proved wrong. Anyway, my father and mother couldn't reach there yet coz my aunty was at the airport and needs transport. My grandmother died in a way that one would want to died in that way(read slowly~haha). At the hospital bed, Aunty Siew Ling and Aunty Mary Hiu who are both from the chinese church came for a visit. Both of them are very close to my grandma though their age gap was so far apart. Weeks ago, i was told that both of them laid beside my grandma and talk to her. Like a mother and daughter. Back to the story, both of them sang " kan guo eh chiew" which means 'look at my hands' (God's hands). After the song, my grandma got into a seizure and then died peacefully........
Well ppl from all over Kuching visited us the following night. I wasn't sad actually coz i know my grandma would be in Heaven. But on the funeral day, i did cried reminiscing the moments i had with her. The chinese songs were very touching too. Nevertheless, i could recover quickly coz i know i need not to worry about dying. Death is just a short-stop before you go to heaven. I know and have the assurance that my grandma is in Heaven. It is not for long my whole family will be seeing her in heaven.
Anyway, here's a Eulogy about my grandma which was spoken by my Dad on the Funeral day........
Eulogy
Good afternoon , friends and relatives, brothers and sisters in Christ. Firstly, I want to thank you all for taking your precious time today to commemorate my mother’s life with us.
Thank you so much for your love, encouragement and support. We are so thankful we are knitted together in the Big family of God.
There is so much to say about my mother. How can I do it in 10 or 15 mins? Most of you may not know this- she is my step mother. My own natural mother died when I was about 5 years of age.
Even though she was my stepmother, she lovingly took care of us as her own children. Her own natural son is Cheng Lee Ming. If you ask me what is the one thing that I want to remember about her, I would say this: Her sacrificial love for all of us. I will always treasure her love and I believe my sister and brother would agree with me too.
We didn’t come from a very well to do family. She had to help to supplement the household income by taking extra jobs such as washing clothes for people and also peeling prawn shells.
Some of us here might have eaten prawn crackers at
I believed the most joyous time for her was after she became a Christian. She found her hope in Christ and was able to unload her burdens to Him.
Even though, she was stricken with a number of illness, she always find her strength in worshipping the Lord. She loves to worship the Lord together with the uncles and aunties from our Hokkien church. Her favorite song is Chin Jia Ho and Shang Ti She Wo men De Bi Nan Shuo.
She often requested me to bring her to the Hokkien church. Even when she was very weak in her last lap of her life, she managed to have two memorable worship time with the Hokkien brethren.
Many brothers and sisters had come alongside to encourage and ministered to my mother. We treasure all your prayers and your helps to us in one way or another.
We want to especially acknowledge two sisters in Christ who sacrificed so much of their time for her. They had become her special friends and “daughters” in the last days of her life. They are Sister Siew Ling and Sister Mary Hiu. Praise God for their ministry.
The Lord has also open doors for them to minister to some old folks in the Lions Nursing Home. A number of them has come to know the Lord.
My mum was prepared to meet with her Savior. She was not afraid dying. As a believer, she knew she would live again because Jesus Christ said that He is the Resurrection and the Life. Death is just a temporary separation. We will see her again when we meet her in heaven.
Talking about going home to be with the Lord, Mum and I prayed a number of time for this matter. One time she had a dream. She dreamt she was following behind a man dressed in white but the man told her not to follow her and then gave her a kick. She began to fall into a deep hole and then she found herself back on the hospital bed.
On Sunday 13th August 2006, as I was about to wake up from my sleep, I had a vision of my mum smiling and waving goodbye to me. Then during the English service time I received a call from the Nursing home that my mum was in coma and needed to be hospitalized. She passed away peacefully at 10.15pm.
We would like to thank everybody for your presence here with us. We pray the Lord Jesus Christ will reveal more and more of Himself to you. May you find the eternal life in God promised to everyone through Jesus Christ.
In the midst of everything that goes by so so fast, the Lord knows best. May He be the comfort of yr heart and bringing peace to you. He knows everything and all the timing. There’s seasons of everything, grow, stagnant, declining, wither, regardless, He is still our strong tower and refuge.
Anyway, it was really a "silver lining in every dark cloud" . From the death of my grandme, finally my aunty accepted Jesus Christ into her life.
Praise JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Disappointed
We prepared a drama for the "Malam Tiong Hwa" which falls on the August 4th and 5th. Our drama was entitled " Liang Shan Bo and Zhu Ying Tai in the modern age version". Well, i've to admit our drama ws messy due to the lack of practice(only practice once) but it was funny. The audience laugh too but according to the teacher, it wasn't "tiong hwa-ish" or oriental enough for the concert. I mean it is so silly, three malay teachers and one bumiputera, thay can't even understand mandarin and yet they even know how to judge......so geram. Make me so tired for nothing. So yeah................ it is off.............
Forgot to tell you guys hor!!!!!! I'm finally a PREFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay
and BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why i say so???
You know what beside doing the drama i have to carry (with help of course) 90 chairs down the stage and up again after the rehearsal. Have to drink Anlene to repair my back............
Ps: i was in Watson's BDC and guess what i found. A tomato twisties.......
You may wonder what's wrong with tomato flavoured twisty right????

I was like BRA!!!!!!!! What in the world.................
Then it don on me, the logo was Brazil's flag.............*smacks head*

Sarawak Level Brass Band Competition
Us: GREEN ROAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Walter: Ha Mik Lo?!!!! (HOKKIEN)
uS: CHE-CAU LO!!!!!!
Walter: Yenna Road?!!!!!!(TAMIL)
US: PACHE ROAD
Those were the chant we said for our school Brass Band. Yup you heard me right, i went for the Sarawak State Level brass band competition.
Me and my friends left school at about 7.30 on a air-con bus. We reached there at about 8 something. We quickly sat down at allocated charis for our school. And you know the irony thing that happened?, i forgot my batteries for my camera!!!!!!!!!(due to something.....don't want to talk about it). We could see most of the band members at the opposite side. So we shouted the chant. They were so happy. Later that morning they said they were very encouraged and they felt very professional so they did their best performance.
This year the competing bands are St.Joseph Kuching, Chung Hwa Miri, Smk Green Road (my school), and last but not least, St.Joseph Miri. All the bands were very good except St.Joseph Kuching who lacked something in their performance. I think is due to the hectic schedule for the competition and concert. I was surprised with Green Road and St.joseph Miri; the music quality and formation increased dramtically. To me, the four bands have reached the national level quality. Wait for years to come........surely Green Road will have a chance to represent Sarawak.
Well when it was our turn, we had the euphoria atmosphere and we shouted the Chant again and this time we also did the mexican wave. I think we're the most active supporters in the staidum. We banged bottles too to boost up the confidence aomong the Band Members. I like the performance but we could have got second place if not for the messy footwork. Not bad lar, because 80% are new recruits. And they didn't really practice so well for it. The formation was very good, superb. Good job catherine........
The results are:
1st - SMK St. Joseph, Kuching
2nd- SMK Chung Hwa, Miri
3rd - SMK Green Road, Kuching
Best Drum Major : SMK Chung Hwa, Miri
Band Berharapan : SMK St. Joseph, Kuching
Best Uniform : Smk St.Joseph, Kuching
Well i'm proud of the Greenians who perform. I do wish i can go back to band. Next time, next time.........i shall come back to school and help them once more. As a teacher or sponsor..........I love you ppl!!!!!!!!!

GaNgStA PaRaDiSe
Anyway, the Gangsta Paradise(G.p.) was AWESOME!!!!! Here's an account for both days.
1st Night:
I got a ride with Aunty Tai Men and we reached the St.Thomas school hall about 6.40 pm. We wanted to be early so that there will be parking space. Upon arrival, i could see the sponsors and the group of line dancers from KL, Johor Baru, Kota Kinabalu, Miri, and SINGAPORE. I didn't have time to greet and know them as i was busy learning new dances from the aunties(kia su). All in all i was prepared to dance 32 dances. Then i heard my name being shouted, it was Charissa. I chatted(more like shouting as i was at the upper foyeur and she was at ground floor) with her for a few minutes. Without further ado, Robin Sin greeted all of us and asked whether we're ready for the jamming that night. Unanimously we replied YES! So then it started all dancers across M'sia and Singapore danced together in unifromed steps. Pretty COOL. Several dances such as X Factor and Hernando's Highway(Paso Doble dance= bull fight dance) caught my eye. I just watch in amazement as the Singapore dancers without hestitation doing all the moevements and swirls. I salute them.
Did i mention the sponsors?? It was Omega Plus which provides us with free cold milk(taste weird)Hehehehehe..............It was time for the highlight for the night where Robin Sin will dance several demos for the workshop the following day. He dances FUnky Paradise( Themed Dance :Advanced Level), That thing you do, Next 2 Me, Something about you, and STrangers in the night. I say, the dances are all so cool. Robin SIn is indeed very professional, his feet is like glued to the floor which complements with his funky hand movements. HE's so COOL!. I danced till i dropped tired that night. We finished dancing at about 10.30pm.....
2nd Day : Workshop
Everybody came with expectations at Stampark Hall, BDC. The hall was so HUGE! Can fit about 500+ on the dance floor itself. I heard the rental was about RM1500. AT about 2.30pm, Robin Sin came up on stage and taught us the first dance, That Thing You DO! A very simple and nice dance. Perfect Chorreography. We enjoyed learning from Robin as he taught very well, clear, concise, simple, and most of all fun and superbly funny. We learn it pretty quick as the dance was easy.
We then moved to the next dance, "Hernando's Highway"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was grinning from ears to ears and i was very excited. It's a intermediate dance which is very cool. Must show you guys one day. We have the paso doble hand movements too. We had to pretend we had a red cloth in our left hands and a sword in the other to kill the bull. I was laughing all the way. I admire how Robin teaches line dancing and he describes it through everyday situations so that u can remember em'. I Loved this dance. The Highlight was i got to stand with ROBIN!!!!!! He chose me, August and Rachel up on stage and dance herndando's highway with him. I was so Honoured!!!!!!!!!!!!!*daydreams*
The last dance is of course FUNKY PARADISE. As the name implies, it is indeed very funky. The soundtrack is from Scooby Dooby Doo 2 , "Shining Stars". At first is was hard with the travelling swivels and Apple Jacks leg movement. After a while , i got the hang of it. I was surprised that i can master a Advanced dance whereas my standard is beginner/intermediate. This is due to the teaching method of Robin. He's good at simplifying harderd steps into easier ones. So there i go, i was dancing superbly with the other singaporeans( all singaporeans are Advanced Levels). Many aunties gave up as it was too hard.* proud* hehehhehehe.
2nd Day: Night Themed Party
I wore a singlet, a shirt over it, bling blings, jeans, shoes, cap, and sungalsses. I looked more funky compared to a Gangter. I arrived quite early and sat down waiting. The night was opened with four dances and then we proceed to the buffet set. We ate fried rice, fried noddles, Tau Foo, sweet and sour fish, and barbecued chicken plus a Cordial Drink. Quite simple dishes not very exquisite. I quickly eat so that i can dance. We danced and danced the whole night through. We also danced the three dances we learned. The highlight for the night was that we learned another dance from Robin. I loved it too. It is called " Something about You " danced to the song " ALL about You" by McFly. It is very nostalgic dance. I begin to daydream about my life ( coz of the tune) from past to future. Very nice song.
EH, Robin Joined us youth dancing That Thing You DO!!!!!!!! We include so actions to the song and he was floowing us........so funny.
OH YAH! Finally for so long, i got a lucky draw prize!!!!!!! I got a DISNEY CD BOOK..........the thing that i have been dreaming for so long. I was so happy. ANyway, my sis came at about ten something to join us dancing. All my Goodness, just because of one dance " Irish STew" which i taught my sis including all the styles, the whole group of dancers were falling in love with my sis. Tony and Nellie(parents of Robin), were dancing next to my sis. Tony kept on taking photos of my sis.
Forgot to tell you, before my sis came, there was a blackout........Thank God it was only for a while . If not, the party would have been cancelled.
Back to the story, i could see the Robin was amazed with Lavender my sister, i felt so proud to have a sister that is very good in dancing. Aunty Yew Puay was liked chasing her all over the dance floor so that she could hugged Lavender. After several more dances, it was very late at night which is at 11.10 pm and we were only half way through the dances. So sad......... So CHarissa, I, My sis, And Rachel went to have a photo session with Robin Sin. Robin was so happy to meet my sis and he hugged her went taking the photo. WE say we shall join his Line Dance in Singapore whenever we go there. I shall treasure the photo as not many international instructors come to Kuching. Well the closing dance was of course Hernando's Highway. After that, the party was over.
As we got out, the singaporeans were still fussing over Lavender. They all took photo with her and asked for my sis name. They say they shall remember it forever. Tony teased Lavender that she is so special because just in one night the whole line dancers from Singapore can fall in love with her. As we made out of the hall to the car, Lavender say Goodbye. The Singaporeans in unison said goodbye. They gave flying kisses and i could heard one lady say that she'll remember her when she comes to Kuching. So funny. I wasnted to say goodbye to Robin
but he was busy. So that's all......
*-I miss Gangster Paradise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-*

Encouragement From Darrel Stott
Let me Share with you about the Church in Kutching
in Borneo
In Kutching
The Glory and angelic presence has increased every meeting. As the sick and hungry look in my eyes I am overwhelmed with excitement asI realize their lives will never be the same because I come with the Good News of the Gospel of JESUS!
When I am tired, feel burnt out, and do not want to get on another airplane I remember the eyes and faces of the people. Do you understand? If we do not come....they have no hope. If we do not come their lives stay the same. Jesus in us in that powerful.
Look in the eyes of young Jeremy 9 yrs as he lays with no hope looking at an advertising poster of me in his church. What do you see?
On behalf of the hurting I thank you for praying for me. For loving me and sending and supporting me.
Love you all.
Darrel Stott

~Darrel Stott Revival Meeting...Second Night~
As me and my friends enter the church yesterday, suddenly Daniel exclaimed
"The Angels Are Still Here! ".
He was fooling around with the camera and apparently caught a few angels on his camera. For those who don't know, angels often appear as a round white light. In year 2004, people start having problems with their cameras and have "bubbles" all over their pictures they took as Bishop Darrel meetings. Coincidence, I think not. This is because all over the world, these things are happening too such as at Ruth Heflin and Lisa(I think) revival meetings.
Bishop Darrel moves and introduces these things to people. He's not a preacher but he teaches and brings the atmosphere of the Glory Realm. What is the Glory Realm you may ask. It is when people enter a very strong presence of God. In that presence, the angels dwell there and God gives things to people such as anointing oil(refer to yesterday pictures), gold dust, silver dust, and precious stones. When you take pictures during these times, angels will often appear in you pic.
Back to my story, I was too unfocused during the praise and worship part because my batteries rolled to the deepest corner which nobody can take. I was so scared because this is not the first time I lost one and I'm sure to be bombed by my father. Anyway, God moved in mysterious ways. Bishop Darrel then began to preached and impart the anointing of God. A small amount of people start to laugh (poink, poink* only for those who went would understand). It was so unexpected compared to Friday when I was much more ready to receive it. I could feel the wave after wave flowing upon me. I couldn't help laughing while kicking my legs and slapping my lap. Not only me, other people did that too. Some rolled on the floor, dancing, and jumping and laughing all about. We could feel the anointing level was stronger compared to Friday. Bishop Darrel ask us to expect more on Sunday(today).
You know what, I got silver dust on my thumbs but now no more. Wanted to take picture but it was so fine to look at.
I did took picture of angels too, got colour somemore. Friday was orange and yesterday was blue. Cool eh???? I don't think it is the camera light Jasmine, too much for coincidence.
Well at the climax, we sang the theme song. So many angels appeared. Some even got more than 15 in one of them. If you compare Friday and yesterday, yesterday had more angels than Friday. So were expecting multitudes of it on Sunday(today 28/5/06)

See the pale lights at the ceiling fan?

Hidden Mickey mouse....haha

Do you see a pale blue dot?
So come I beg you people, bring your digital camera along. Remember to always use flash if not cannot take any angels somehow. Here are some pictures.
But the great thing was a group of Methodist church people came! They are the radical type. They are even willing to give up their post in church to experience God's presence. Remember John Mclennon last year? They went too to experience God's presence. Please pray for them so that their own church members would open their eyes and their hearts.
Please come to day too, last service tonight at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 7.30pm.(early bird, catches a seat. XD)
